Diferentele sunt urmatoarele: prima varianta dispunea de o chiuloasa cu 2 axe cu came, dar cu 8 supape(aiurea). Versiunile urmatoare veneau cu 16 supape si si cu 130 de cai. De schimbat de pe o masina pe alta nu e greu, plaftforma a fost intotdeauna aceeasi, dar treaba trebuie facuta cu cap, altfel se risca rezultate proaste in mers. Btw, asa, de curios, cat ar costa rotile? Carburatorul de pe ele era dublu-corp si era asistat electronic de calculator. Motoarele N9 erau pe injectie si au fost deasemenea cu 8v; motorul N9A era fara catalizator si avea 125 cp (92kw), iar celelalte N9 (C,E,D) aveau catalizator si 120 cp (88kw). Motoarele astea au fost identice, diferea doar sistemul de alimentare (carburator/injectie) si prezenta sau lipsa catalizatorului... (Motoarele DOHC 16v nu aveau cod motor varianta cu 16v pe Sierra a fost pus de fabrica doar 2,0 DOHC Cosworth 204-220 cp. Alte motoare DOHC 16v au mai fost pe Scorpio 136cp si Escort 2000 RS 150cp). Have you considered a swap instead? The DOHC isn't known for being very tunable (more a lack of parts and information than anything) and like Mike said, you may not get a whole lot from a remap with those Scorpios came with and 16V DOHC engines, which are a fairly straightforward swap and certain Zetec engines seem popular too. People also mix and match the DOHC heads and bottom ends, but I don't know much about that.
